My dear committed EvoRevo members….I urge you to read the postings in the Comments Section below this message. I posted the writing you see just below a few days ago, and the response has been extraordinary. People from all over the world are saying “I’m IN!” and “Yes! Let’s keep going!”

More important, the leadership is forming. No movement or global organization can move forward without leadership.

And I am inviting and asking a number of people who have commented below to step up to leadership positions with the Evolution Revolution. I hope you will all read these exchanges between me and those who have posted here.

And if you are thinking of some skill or ability that you would like to add to this emerging mix of powerful people, please, please add your voice in the Comments Section beneath my earlier message, reprinted just below.

I have chosen to keep that earlier message up here for now, because I want you all to know where we have the possibility of going from here. If you have not already done so, please read my original “post March 12” entry, just below…and then be sure to read all the follow-up comments posted by people around the world!

Thank you so much!

Awakening Day 2015 has passed, and it was an extraordinary event, with thousands upon thousands of copies of 1,000 Words That Would Change the World having been distributed across the globe. Now the question is, where to from here? Do we want this to be the beginning and the end of it? Or does it feel good to all of us to continue now with the Evolution Revolution as the spiritual activist outreach project of Humanity’s Team? We can create something very powerful here. We have a real chance to build a larger and larger coalition of Spiritual Activists that can add enormous energy to the efforts of people everywhere who seek to change their lives and change the world.

My wonderful friend Jean Houston refers to times such as this as Jump Time. She produced a remarkable book by the same name a few years ago, and in it she describes this current moment in humanity’s long history as a time when humanity is realizing, en masse, that we simply can’t keep going in the direction in which we have been going; that we have walked ourselves into a metaphorical box canyon, with everyone crowding in behind us and pushing against us, even as we see that moving straight ahead on the same path is no longer possible. We’re up a against the wall. So we have to jump to the next plateau; leap over the canyon wall and take ourselves to the next level on our evolutionary journey.

What that looks like is us taking control of our own destiny. Our personal evolution moves at the speed we set for it — and the same is true of our collective experience. Like Jean, I see this present moment as a time when we can advance our evolutionary progress by jumping to the next level. It’s just a matter of whether we want to do that or not.

So what’s next for this tidy group of nearly 4,000 that has gathered here? I see this…

The Evolution Revolution
Creating the Time of Our Advancement

I have proposed that our next benchmark be New Year’s Eve of this year, and that we will use the ensuing months to accomplish these goals…

1. Grow our movement to include 10,000 members

2. Establish an agenda including the formation of one hundred Evolution Revolution Action Groups around the world, engaging in a planned and focused movement of Spiritual Activism in cities, towns, and villages across the globe.

3. Meet in those groups twice a month to explore the process of personal and collective evolution, and to put into place on-the-ground spiritual tools, programs, and activities to help ourselves advance that evolution.

4. Share live, real-time telephone gathering every single week in which we discuss and explore the evolutionary book, The Storm Before the Calm. These gatherings are now taking place, and they are supporting people around the world who call in to join with facilitator Nannette Kennedy and with me. I attend the gatherings just as often as I can — which is usually three weeks out of four. Let’s keep the conversation going.

Let me share something here from The Storm Before the Calm. In that book I included the observations of Margaret J. Wheatley, author of Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future (2002).

This is a globally known consultant on organizational behavior. She received her doctorate from Harvard University, holds an M.A. in systems thinking from New York University, and has worked on every inhabited continent in virtually every type of organization.

In other words, Meg Wheatley knows her way around. Here’s what she says:

“There is no more powerful way to initiate significant social change than to start a conversation.”

Wow. I couldn’t have paid her to say something better suited to make the point I’ve been making here. In a 2002 article in Utne Reader, Ms. Wheatley observes that “…true conversation is…a timeless and reliable way for humans to think together. Before there were classrooms, meet- ings or group facilitators, there were people sitting around talking.

“We can take courage from the fact that this is a process we all know how to do. We can also take courage in the fact that many people are longing to converse again. We are hungry for a chance to talk. People want to tell their stories, and are willing to listen to yours. We are awakening an ancient practice, a way of being gathered that all humans intimately understand.

“Change doesn’t happen from some-one announcing the plan. Change begins from deep inside a system, when a few people notice something they will no longer tolerate, or when they respond to someone’s dream of what’s possible.”

That is precisely, to the letter, what The Conversation of the Century is all about. And I see the Conversation of the Century as an integral part of the Evolution Revolution.

Let me know in the Comment Section below where you see us going (if anywhere) in the weeks and months ahead. Are you “in?” Are you willing to keep the conversation going? Do you agree that things don’t have to stop here? Do we have a chance to make a new way to be human, as offered in Conversations with God and other contemporary spiritual and progressive social commentaries of our time, functional in the every day life of this planet? In our own lives, for sure?

Let me know, below.
